Men-Women Circles · Walhain Saint-Paul

Understanding each other,
communicating better.

To find yourself again — as a person, as a couple, as a family. Men-women circles for parents worn down by the imbalance of daily life, led by a couple who lived that same crossing.

Our vision: to (re)build connection — between partners, with the children, between families going through the same thing.

The starting point

What is stuck, and what changes.

What is stuck today

  • One partner exhausted, with young children, sensing they are reaching the end.
  • The other not seeing — or seeing differently — the scale of the imbalance.
  • Communication going in circles: reproach, misunderstanding, silence, conflict.
  • A couple wearing out, for lack of concrete ways forward.

What it changes

  • Finally understanding what the other actually lives and expects — no more guessing.
  • Stepping out of the accusation / defence cycle and back into real dialogue.
  • A fairer share of the household and of the children.
  • Feeling less alone, by meeting other parents.
The men-women circle

A Sunday afternoon

Welcome at 2 pm, start at 2:30 pm, close at 4:30 pm. Tea and a small snack, shared during the circle.

02

Come to one or several circles, with no obligation to follow them all. Alone or as a couple.

03

A balanced circle

4 to 6 couples, so 8 to 12 people, with as many women as men.

How a circle unfolds

2 pm

Welcome

We arrive, settle in, get to know each other. Tea and a small snack are served during the circle.

2:30 pm

The frame

Confidentiality, speaking in « I », no advice and no judgement. Nobody has to speak.

The women speak

The women share what they are living. The men listen without reacting, then ask their questions with curiosity.

The men speak

We swap: the men share what they are living, the women listen, then ask their questions.

Open sharing

What resonated, what surprised you, what you take away.

4:30 pm

Closing

A word from each person to finish.

The 4 circles

Four Sundays, four themes.

Come to one or several circles, as you wish. Each circle stands on its own.

Please bring: a cushion to sit on comfortably during the circle.

Laura Lambert and Quentin de Pret, side by side
Who we are

Laura Lambert & Quentin de Pret

We have been together for 9 years and are the parents of Alba (5½) and Thiago (9 months). The birth of our eldest turned everything upside down: crises and deep questioning.

That road is not over: it has become the heart of our practice, a daily attention to living better as a couple and as a family. Quentin has been supporting groups and organisations for more than 10 years; it is his full-time work. Laura is trained in the same approaches.

We have run men-women circles before. We believe that when a family grows and changes shape, the bond can be nourished differently, and that it is found again by building bridges between the world of women and the world of men. Our role here is to hold the frame and keep you safe, so that each person can open up without fear.

« What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. That is a ground rule, restated at every gathering. »

Frequently asked

What people ask us most.

What actually happens in a circle?

We speak frankly in a balanced circle: the women speak first, the men listen and then ask their questions, then we swap. No judgement, no advice, no theory. Tea and a small snack are shared during the circle.

Do I need to be comfortable speaking in front of everyone?

No. You can listen as much as speak, at your own pace. Nobody is forced to take the floor.

Is this therapy?

No — it is a space for speaking and group support, not individual therapy. We work on communication and on how daily life is organised, not on pathologies.

What if my partner doesn't want to come?

Come alone to a circle first (€25). It happens often, and it lets you either leave with something that helps convince your partner, or see more clearly what is blocking.

Do I need to come to every circle?

No. Each circle has its own theme and stands on its own: come to one or several, in whatever order you like.

Is what is said in the group confidential?

Yes. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle — a ground rule, restated at every gathering.

What if I need to cancel?

A refund is possible up to 7 days before the circle. After that, the place is no longer refunded. Please let us know anyway: your place can then be offered to someone else. If we cancel the circle ourselves, for example because too few people have registered, you are fully refunded.
